    102290 - Mini Sports Camp

    An introductory program designed for children ages 3-5 years olds. Sports Unlimited’s Mini-Sports Camp helps children explore baseball, soccer, lacrosse and flag football in a fun and non-competitive setting. No pressure, just lots of fun while young children participate in all three activities every day through unique games. Our Mini-Sport staff are trained to meet the special needs of young children.


    What to bring to camp:

  • Shin guards (recommended)
  • Water bottle
  • 2 snacks
  • Baseball mitt
  • Tennis or soccer shoes (no metal spikes)


    Session 1 is held on Thursdays
    Session 2 is held on Tuesdays

    Research shows that all children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat and participate in making music with confidence. You can nurture the musical growth of your child regardless of your own musical ability by participating
    in “Let’s Play! Music Together®” classes. Music Together classes create a playful atmosphere in which both children and adults can find the music maker in themselves.

    Let’s Play! Music Together® includes a 8-week session of 45-minute classes, CDs and digital download, songbook, and suggestions for musical activities at home. For more information on Let’s Play! Music Together®,

    Join us for a magical evening of making memories at our annual Daddy-Daughter Dance. Girls-along with their dad,
    uncle, grandfather, or other male role model-will enjoy a teddy bear-themed event filled with dancing, music, fun
    activites, crafts and more. Upon arrival, you will receive an activity passport to fill with stamps as you experience the teddy bear adventure. Fee includes a professionally printed photo. This event fills quickly!

    210140 - Flashlight Egg Scramble

    Registration is now open for the Flashlight Egg Scramble at the Savage Sports Center. Children ages 3 years to grade 5 can bring their flashlights and baskets to scoop up eggs as they scramble across the fields inside the Savage Sports Center with the lights turned down low. Several "special prize" eggs will be hidden among the regular eggs for a few extra lucky winners! All participants will go home with a goody bag filled with prizes and treats. Pre-registration is required.

    Scramble times:
    3 years to kindergarten begins at 8:00 p.m. (1 parent : child[ren] on field)
    1st to 5th grade begins at 8:30 p.m. (no parents out on field)

    Doors open at 7:30 for games, activities, an inflatable, and a photo opportunity with the bunny!

    311203 - Horseback Riding

    Partnering with Golden Ridge Stables in Lakeville, Savage Parks and Recreation presents "Calling all Horse Lovers". This five-hour day camp designed to give riders a fun-filled day of riding experience with reliable horses. In addition, campers will play games and make a treasured keepsake. Each participant will discover how to safely work with their horse on the ground as well as on its back in a “hands-and seat-on” environment.

    Because participation is limited to only eight riders, each child will get individualized attention, a structured riding lesson, and learn fun and interesting things about their horse. For safety reasons, participants must be physically and cognitively able to ride a horse on their own.
    Participants are required to wear jeans and boots; riders will not be allowed to ride in tennis shoes. Helmets will be provided. Please bring a water bottle, a nut-free snack and a bag lunch.

    Participants are to meet on-site by the program start time, transportation is not provided.

    Learn to cheer with Sports Unlimited! This camp helps children explore cheerleading, dance and tumbling in a fun and non-competitive setting. There will be lots of fun learning motion/jump technique, sideline/performance cheers and dance routines. On the last day, participants will perform a cheerleading program for their family and friends. All participants receive a water bottle and pom-poms.

    Campers should come dressed for active movement and tennis shoes. Please bring two snacks, a water bottle, and sunscreen each day.

    Dance and sing to the music from Tangled, while choreographing a musical! everyone will learn how to put together a professional show from start to finish. Learn how to properly speak lines, blocke a scene, develop a character and much more. No experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothing and lightweight tennis shoes or dance shoes. Please bring a nut-free snack and beverage daily. Friends and family are invited to observe a special performance during the final 30 minutes of the final class. All students will receive a free light-up wristband!

    NEW! - Playground camps will now run Monday through Thursday. Playground Pals offers two half-day options as well as a full-day option for participants.

    If you are up for a challenge, join the Savage Walking Club for exercise, motivation, goal-setting and companionship. Your goal will be to walk 2,778 miles across the country, from Los Angeles to New York. You will have the benefit of not leaving the Savage Sports Center and staff will track your progress on a weekly basis. Attempt this journey based on the Open Walking/Jogging schedule below. Each participant will receive a free t-shirt.
