    Youth entering grade K to grade 3.

    Learn the basic skills of soccer. During the two-week camp, participants will focus on learning skills such as dribbling, trapping, passing and receiving, game positions, and offense/defense techniques. Each participant will receive a recreation t-shirt the first day of camp (provide size when registering).

    What to bring to camp:
    Participants should dress for the outdoors and wear cleats or tennis shoes (no metal spikes) and sunscreen. Bring a refillable water bottle and an age-appropriate soccer ball each day of camp.

    303351 - PeeWee Tennis Camp

    Youth age 4 to entering grade 1.

    PeeWee Tennis is designed to introduce the game of tennis to young participants. Participants will work on hand-eye coordination while learning the basic fundamentals and strokes of tennis.

    Each participant will be evaluated to determine which skills to work on during the lesson, and also what level to register for next session. Each participant will receive a Recreation t-shirt at the beginning of lesson (indicated size when registering). Tennis balls are provided.

Please avoid bringing snacks containing peanut products.

    311203 - Horseback Riding

    Partnering with Golden Ridge Stables in Lakeville, Savage Parks and Recreation presents "Calling All Horse Lovers". This camp is designed to give riders a fun-filled day of riding experience. In addition, campers will play games and make a treasured keepsake. Discover how to safely work with a horse on the ground as well on its back, in a hands-and seat-on environment. Because participation is limited to only eight riders, each child will get individual attention, a structured riding lesson and learn about their horse. Participants must be physically and ognitively able to ride a horse on their own.

    Participants are required to wear jeans and boots; riders will not be allowed to ride in tennis shoes. Helmets will be provided. Please bring a water bottle, a nut-free snack and a bag lunch. Transportation not provided; please meet on-site by the program start time.

    Learn the basics of skateboarding through Sports Unlimited’s SkateStart Camp. Using the unique SkateStart skateboard, provided at camp, you will learn how to push and roll using proper technique and foot placement.     Youth entering grade 1 to grade 6.

    Fabulous Fridays are back and ready for you! These one-day camps are filled with small group activities, nature play (fishing at McColl Pond, nature walks and exploration time), large-group games, activities, special guests and day trips. Each Fabulous Friday participant will receive one Recreation t-shirt for the summer. T-shirts will be available on-site the first day of each session.

    NEW! - Camp will run for one additional hour to allow time for travel during day trips as well as for special guests and speakers.

Each site does the same crafts and activities that are based on weekly themes. If a program doesn't meet our minimum enrollment, your child may be asked to attend a different session. Each participant will receive one Playground Pals t-shirt for the summer. Participants should dress to be outdoors, including sunscreen, and bring a water bottle each day.

    NEW! - Playground camps will now run Monday through Thursday. Playground Pals offers two half-day options as well as a full-day option for participants.

    323351 - Int/Advance Tennis Class

    Youth entering grade 4 to grade 9.

    Intermediate/Advanced Tennis participants improve their basic skills, along with learning the lob, overhead shot and topspin. Participants will match play in singles and doubles. Game strategy and scoring is covered.

    Each participant will be evaluated to determine which skills to work on during the lesson, and also what level to register for next session. Each participant will receive a Recreation t-shirt at the beginning of lesson
    (indicated size when registering). Tennis balls are provided.

    What to bring to camp:
    Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen and the correct size tennis racket.
